Spencer has been doing this longer than the station has existed, and he'd rather not discuss the specifics. He came out of the Trinity Site with a voice like a dinner jacket and a face that clears a room, and decided the first one was worth keeping.
He plays the slow stuff. Crooners, ballads, the records that were built for two in the morning. He talks low and he talks easy, and he has never once raised his voice on air — partly out of style, partly because there's no one left to raise it at.
Co-hosting is Johnny, a nightstalker. Johnny does not speak, does not take requests, and has never been seen by a listener. Spencer addresses him constantly anyway. Reports that Johnny's opinions are simply Spencer's opinions in a different voice are unconfirmed.
